Welcome to the Windows Realm of Avenir Web. Here, you'll find information
on the most popular OS in the world-- Microsoft Windows. Most of the
information is targeted toward Windows 95/98, so if you're looking for
information on NT, you should probably look elsewhere.
This section's highlight is the Tech Support Database. From mailing
lists and personal experiences in tech support, I hope to compile a
searchable, comprehensive database of problems, solutions, and tips. This
will be the top priority of the Windows realm, so other areas will be added
in later on. I will possibly implement a MiniSQL database system, but
that's pending the time to work with such things.

Products -Tips on products from
other users: Find out what they think of the hardware and software that they've
used. Get info on brands, models, etc. We need suggestions to add to the
list! The list of products is horribly small right now, so if you've
got a product that you think has worked well for you, Contact us, so we can put it into the list.

The Tech Support Database
Below are links to extracts of the CTS (computer talk
shop) and COMP emailing lists. These are problems, with solutions to those
problems that have been confirmed to work.

The search engine is written in javascript, to lighten the load on the
server, which makes the search pages a bit larger than normal pages. This means that
they may take a few seconds to download. Please be patient.

This is an ongoing project. In fact, it'll hopefully never be complete. As
new problems appear on the lists, I'll add them in. Other than that, I'm
counting on the web viewer's contributions.
