This section of Avenir Web is dedicated to the technological movement that has become known as the MP3 Revolution. MP3 is a technology that allows CD-Quality music to be compressed into a filesize that is small enough to distribute easily across the Internet. Since it's introduction just a few years ago, it has become a huge trend in personal computing, as well as the music industry.

These pages will attempt to give background information on the evolution of MP3, and chronicle events in the MP3 world. No MP3's will be distributed from this site, as said distribution is illegal. The MP3 Revolution is a purely informational source.
