Ditto.  2 points

 - the closet/building tables are going to be fairly small ( < 50 entries
   each, probably) so an extra join across these tables shouldn't be too
   expensive 

 - how often do you want to lookup what building a drop is in, but don't
   want to know what closet it's in?  usually, if anything, you already
   know the building and are trying to find the closet.
