[LANdb] v0.80
Well, if I drank [alcohol], I'd be getting smashed out of my mind right
now... I'm proud to announce, the fruit of three months hard work by
all-- the next stable release, version 0.80. Yep, it's official now.
Thanks to everyone who's contributed, submitted bugs and bug fixes,
suggested fixes and new features, and so on.
Despite my original plan, I ended up actually making several changes
beyond the 'minor HTML formatting touch-ups,' so here's a summary of the
changelog:
-Changed the default values for a new, inactive jack addition to '-' for
slot, port, and cable.
-Removed any leftover 'database handle destroyed...' entries in the web
server's error log
-Fix for LANdb::ZeroNormalize for slot numbers of 0.
-Fixed problem with inactive jacks and the Search by Jack function
-Fixed bug with adding 25 cards to a switch, which also existed in the
update switch function.
-Removed unnecessary calls for the config vars from /etc/landb.conf.
Should
improve performance a bit.
-Fixed 'use of uninitialized values' problem in Add and Update Jack
functions
-Change to allow for updating of the name of a jack
-Moved printing of HTML header to PrintHeader()
-Changed <TD>'s to <TH>'s where appropriate
-Wrote Update Closets function, and moved the act of adding a new closet
under the same page. The layout is similar to the Modify VLAN Data
function (Much of the "Update" functions will be like this later on)
-Removed List Buildings from Misc Functions, as it's now a common
function
anyway.
-Minor fixes/changes to install.pl
-Big code reduction. This is the smallest release in tarball filesize
since v0.73.
You can get the release from
http://avenir.dhs.org/landb/download/landb-0.80.tar.gz. All the usual
other stuff will be on the website within a couple of hours. This is a
highly recommended upgrade- anyone on any previous version should
definitely upgrade.
Hmm.. I think that's all, for now anyway. I'll post the .9x TODO when
I've updated the mirror at landb.netpedia.net, and posted some new
screenshots.
Thanks again, everyone...
John
