  • LICQ -Probably the best Linux ICQ client out there. Very customizable.
    • Includes all the standard features of ICQ
    • Provides skin support
    • UI can be modified greatly
    • Newest version supports file transfers

    • Extended user search functions
    • Excellent support for transitioning from Windows and Java clients to LICQ
    • Includes extended user info
    • One of the only clients to support message history
    • Provides window manager docking support
    • User-online notification
    • Provides 'Visible List' of users who can see you while in privacy mode
    • Plugin support for Netscape and Lynx

  • GICQ -One of the better X clients
    • Supports Messages and URL's
    • Based on the GTK toolkit, gives a smooth, clean interface
    • Search for users, add them to your contact list

  • GtkICQ -Above average client.
    • Smooth GTK interface
    • Support for all ICQ98a online modes
    • Chat
    • Send Messages/URLs
    • Supports new user signups
